Venue and access

The conference will take place in the IUT of Aix-en-Provence, 413 Avenue Gaston Berger 13100 Aix-en-Provence (France), just south of downtown Aix-en-Provence.

Aix-en-Provence is easily reached by high-speed railway, by plane, or by car. Some advices are proposed below, you may refer to http://www.aixenprovencetourism.com/en/plan-your-trip/access-transport/ for more details.

  • By plane: Flying participants may wish to land in Marseille Provence international airport (MRS). From there, bus shuttles take you downtown in ~ 30 min (see below).
  • By train: Aix-en-Provence has two railway stations: Aix-en-Provence TGV, located beyond Aix-en-Provence's suburbs, and Aix-en-Provence City Centre located downtown. High-speed train travelers will reach Aix-en-Provence TGV station. From there, a connecting train or bus shuttles (see below) take you downtown in ~ 20 min
  • Bus transfers: All information regarding bus travel in the area (inter-city travels in the whole "Bouches du Rhône" French department, including Marseille, as well as intra-Aix travels) can be found on https://www.lepilote.com/. Of particular interest is the bus line #40 which links the airport, the TGV rail station and Aix bus station ("Gare routière" in French), located downtown. See this page for a bus travel between the bus station and the conference venue.
  • By car: The IUT hosting the conference is located within few minutes from the A8 highway. No parking will be provided within the IUT itself. Public parking is possible for a fee in the streets surrounding the IUT. An interesting parking option could be the Krypton parking lot (see also this map), located just across the highway from the IUT, with a pedestrian bridge linking one to the other.
